Features:
This design fits great into all Classic style HP
calculators.  There is a cover now over the battery pack that allows for
noting when a battery should be checked or discarded (in about 3 years).  The
case is better sealed than the other design, to reduce the chance of corrosion from leaking
battery acid.
This auction battery pack replaces the original HP battery pack serial numbers 82001A and 82001B.  This battery pack with rechargeable AAA batteries.  The case fits perfectly into all the above listed HP calculators.
Same connector geometry as the original battery packs.
Each battery pack case is free-replacement guaranteed for 90 days.
The original
Classic HP chargers/adapters transformers tend to wear out, after 45+ years of use. I have 10 of them that need new internal components.  Also, the wire connection plug that plugs into the calculator, tends to fail as the wire inside breaks.  This auction battery pack,  lets you remove the AAA individual cells and charge them externally on a third party AAA charger.  You can also substitute alkaline AAA cells if you want.  AAA alkaline cells work well and last a long time.  The charged Ni-MH cells from this auction run the all “8”s display for about 2 hours.  Normal use will run for days off and on calculating.
Battery Use and Storage:
Please protect your beautiful HP calculator!  All battery cells will eventually leak a corrosive acid that may harm your calculator.   If your not using the calculator for a long time, please consider removing the battery and place it in a sealed plastic bag in your refrigerator.  These devices are just too awesome to risk potential damage.
